    About me:

    Dr. Candice Matthews Statewide Vice Chair is an accomplished woman who has been honored with many awards and distinctions. In June 2021, the Leaders Esteemed Bible University conferred her an honorary doctorate in humanities. In December 2022, she was appointed President of the Board Regis. These prestigious prizes are given to people who have excelled in their fields or service the community.

     

    Dr. Matthews satisfies this qualification and goes above and beyond in her role as Executive Director of the non-profit Children of Diversity Foster Adoption Agency, which has offices in Beaumont and Houston, Texas. She is a tireless advocate for children who need families and is passionate about finding homes for every child waiting to be adopted.

    Although she is not well-known to the general public, honorary doctorate recipient Jane Doe has dedicated her life to helping others. A long-time university committee member and senior administrator, she has been instrumental in assisting countless students to achieve their academic goals. Doe's work ethic and commitment to excellence are evident in everything she does, and her colleagues widely respect her. She is a role model to all who know her, and it is clear that she truly deserves this prestigious award.

     

    She is a highly accomplished business professional with more than 15 years of experience. Currently, she is responsible for creating, planning, and implementing cost- and time-effective strategic strategies for the Children of Diversity Foster Adoption Agency company. She oversees the organization's daily operations as well as committee management, staff development, and the creation of business strategies in conjunction with the Texas Departments of Family and Protective Services and Human Health Services.

     

    Dr. Candice Matthews Statewide Vice Chair is a dedicated community leader known never to back down. Grit, strong communication, tenacity, and a great network are just a few of the things that Dr. Matthews brings to the community. She brings people together to make their community safer, more inclusive, and more accountable. She holds the position of Texas Coalition Of Black Democrats Statewide and Harris County Accountability Chair. In June 2021, she was granted an honorary doctorate in humanities from Leaders Esteemed Bible University.
